I
was fortunate to witness the greatest match every played, LIVE. In
attendance, sitting in the Haniff Mohammed stands, I witnessed a match that
can never be bested. There is no greater rivalry in SPORT than India vs.
Pakistan. Not the Ashes, nor the Super Bowl, nor the FIFA World Cup, India
vs. Pakistan brings more than just two nations together, its brings people
out of their seats, and the passion for sport is written on an entire
nation's face. Everywhere I went, everything I watched on TV, in the news, in
the papers, on TV commercials, even on billboards, Cricket was the main
topic. These pictures were taken during a private tour of the National Stadium, by my cousins Danish Saif and Noman Nazir. The latter is an official scorer for the PCB, and with them I was fortunate enough to lay on the grass, feel the pitch, and run up like Shoaib Akthar to the bowling crease ! Imagine the feeling when a jam packed stadium is watching you bowl your heart out, or watching your sweat drip as you prepare to loft the ball out the ground !
