This is the official website of the Danbury Cricket Club. Founded in 2001, DCC is committed to fostering, improving and promoting the game of cricket in the state of Connecticut. Here you'll find information about the club, its history, membership information, fixtures, location, scores and results of games played, and links to various other cricket clubs and resources.

One of the seven founding members of the Southern Connecticut Cricket Association, the club is widely known for its cricketing culture  and professionalism.

Danbury Cricket Club is comprised of members with varying degrees of cricketing skills. However, there is one thing that everyone shares - a love for the game, and enthusiasm to see the sport grow. We are a true global community, with members from the countries such as England, South Africa, Caribbean Islands, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Whether you are a newcomer to the sport of Cricket, or want to play competitively, there's a place for you in our club.

Danbury witnessed cricket in the modern era in the early 1990's. A group of young Pakistani and Indian high school kids started playing their beloved sport anywhere they could. The Palace Theatre parking lot, and the North Street Shopping Center parking lots were the two places, where cricket was seen on weekend afternoons. Slowly, matches were being played at Broadview Middle School, Hatters Park, and Rogers Park. The Danbury News Times even featured an article about Cricket in Danbury in the mid 90s. The late 1990's saw an end to cricket, as many of the young guys had lost the enthusiasm. The new Millennium saw Cricket rise to new heights ! The City of Danbury helped to build a cricket pitch at the Broadview Middle School, and now a perfect place to play Cricket, had been born. Lots of hard work, back breaking shoveling and digging, led to an immaculate pitch being constructed in the middle of a lovely field of grass. The Danbury Cricket Ground witnessed a softball cricket tournament in July 2001, which helped to expose the sport of cricket in the area. Once again, the Danbury News Times showed their support by featuring the Danbury Cricketers in 2 articles. In the following years, the Danbury Cricket Ground has seen various players from all over the world play cricket in a scenic picturesque setting. The year 2002 witnessed the Finals of the Southern CT Cricket Association. Bridgeport CC beat the United CC in a wonderful match in front of a large crowd. In 2005 the Danbury Seniors team defeated Norwalk CC to win the SCTCA Championship game. Within it's first 5 years, DCC was able to achieve such a great feat. With the continued support of the community, and the great teamwork from all its members from the past, DCC has rose to new heights.

In the many years to come, the Danbury CC looks forward to promoting the wonderful sport of cricket, and we look forward to continuing our great tradition.
